| SCREENING BARK MULCH/WOOD CHIPS If you’re screening and bagging mulch and wood chips to sell to landscapers, remember not to include compost in this category. Compost is something else. Your vibrating screens should be set up with 2” to 2-1/2” openings on the top deck with ½” to 1” piano wire on bottom. The screened mulch and screened loam will be a more uniform, higher quality product, with slabs and stripping removed. As for compost, if it consists of organic material such as fresh leaves, it will tend to nest up and slide off the screen box. If it is dried and decomposed, your loam screener will do a very good job with this material. For More Information on: Topsoil Screening, Gravel Screening, Sand Screening, Recycling |
